Hi Bria, what role has risk played in your life or career?
You’re losing money right now—and not because of what you did, but because of what you didn’t do. Anytime you forgo the opportunity to indulge in brining your creative thoughts to fruition, you’re willingly dismissing SUCCESS. When we analyze the root cause of what holds many people back from greatness – it’s based in the fear of loss. To overcome this mental block, I trust in my ability to recover more than I fear failure. I have FAITH that overcomes my FEARS!
Risk themselves are not to be avoided – they are to be measured and calculated. In a broader sense, risk is inherent in all aspects of life—whether in personal choices, professional moves, or market decisions. Over the years, I’ve grown my resilience by removing shame, embarrassment, and fear from my emotional bank. I’m not immune to these feelings, but once I identify them, I dismantle the power they hold over me. There is no need for external validation when I am being honest about my abilities, addressing my shortcomings, being consistent with my service offerings, and persevering through adversity. With that, I have developed a confidence for taking risks!
Most people think risk is dangerous—but avoiding it is what kills businesses. There is no need to fear failing when you can plan to fail and scale your success! To approach this process, whether emotional, financial, or physical, begin with determining your preferred outcome. Then, walk yourself through all the probable unfortunate results. For the frequently experienced adverse situations, learn from the past mistakes of others on your path. Review case studies, ask around, and get busy researching. You can ease your worries by getting a glimpse of the experiences others have encountered. Moving beyond the familiar challenges into the unknown risk requires you to look inward and explore the PURE GRIT that lives inside you! We can not predict all things of the future, but we can commit to the mental toughness associated with achieving long-term goals!
